The Debrett was one of the "D"-boats built for Lamport & Holt Line. They were revolutionary in design for the time, with the funnel being incorporated in the superstructure and housed a small part of the accommodation.
 
1955 transferred to Blue Star Line renamed Washington Star for the North Pacific coast of North America route
 
1956 reverted to Debrett.
 
Damaged by fire: 16 April 1964 by an engine room fire at Recifé while on a voyage from Buenos Aires to Liverpool
 
Sold in 1964 to Embajada Compania Naviera S.A., Greece and renamed  Ambasciata
  
Sold in 1964 to Japanese shipbreakers and arrived 28 December 1964 at Osaka to be broken up, demolition commenced  January 1965
