One funnel, two masts, single screw, speed 14 knots, accommodation for 35 passengers, reduced to 12 in 1948. Launched as Empire Clarendon  for the Ministry of War Transport. P&O Steam Navigation Co. appointed managers.
 
Purchased 27 November 1946 by Frederick Leyland & Co. Ltd. (Blue Star Line Ltd. managers)
 
Renamed in 1947 to Tuscan Star, she was then renamed Timaru Star in 1948 (She was renamed the Timaru Star to conform with New Zealand route naming and in recognition of the importance to the line of the New Zealand port).
 
Transferred in 1949 to Lamport & Holt Line Ltd., Liverpool.
 
1958 transferred to the North American Pacific coast route renamed California Star.
 
1959 reverted to Blue Star Line ownership, 1967 transferred to New Zealand service, March 1968 laid up in the River Blackwater.
 
Sold in 1969 to Tsuan Yau Steel & Iron Works Co. Ltd., Taiwan 22nd June 1968 left London on her last NZ voyage and arrived 21 April 1969 at Kaohsiung to be broken up, demolition commenced 20 May 1969.
