In 1900 she was used in the Boer War Campaign as Transport No.94

Sister to Pindari. She plied Brocklebank's Liverpool to Calcutta service and in 1900 was commandeered for service in the Boer War for the delivery of cavalry to South Africa. She was temporarily renamed HM Transport No.94 and had stables fitted on her fore and aft well decks. In 1909 while on the homeward leg of her voyage from Calcutta with a cargo of general goods for London and jute for Dundee she ran aground on the Goodwin Sands. Attempts to refloat her using tugs failed and eventually she broke her back and sank.

Was wrecked on Goodwin Sands, Kent, 1909.
