While used as a Hospital ship in 1917 she was torpedoed and became ammunition hulk at Plymouth, 1919 re-purchased by Royal Mail Steam Packet Company , rebuilt as cruise ship and 1923 renamed Arcadian.
 
She was laid up in 1930 and finally in 1933 was scrapped.
