 Royal Iris II

The Royal Iris II  had an elaborate interior with a beautifully panelled, Tudor style main passenger saloon. In 1947, the suffix 'II' was dropped as her predecessor had also been renamed.

In 1950 she was renamed St Hilary, in readiness for the arrival of a brand new diesel-electric cruise ship to take over her already famous name.

She left the Mersey in 1956 for Holland. Converted into a side- loading car and passenger ferry at Werf Verschure, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 48.08 x 15.04 x 3.00 m. Twin 6 cylinder Deutz diesel engines, 1050 hp, 11 kn. And renamed Haringvliet.

1971 renamed Schellingerland II,

1974 Schellingerland (Rederij Doeksen, Terschelling, The Netherlands.

1981 renamed Girne (Turkish-Cypriot owners). Soon the money of her owners ran out, and she was found abandoned on the French Rivièra in 1992.

Unknown where and when she was demolished
