[Londonderry Harbour Commissioners]

Built for the Londonderry to Heysham route, she initially carried  livestock.
 
Sold to B & I SP Co. Ltd; for their City of Cork SP Co. and renamed Glanmire for the Cork - Liverpool livestock and general cargo run. She could carry 367 head of cattle with 12 horses.. She was chartered for a time to Burns and Laird for the Gasgow to Dublin cattle run before she was sold by the B & I to W.H,Arnot Young & Co.Ltd; Glasgow in 1969 and was broken up that year at Dalmuir.
 
The keels for Lairdswood, Lairdscrest and Lairdsbank were all laid 12-12-1935 on No.1 slip, Queen's Yard. On 01-02-1936, the keel of the Walmer Castle was laid on the same slip.
