History

1941: Went to London Fire Brigade as a fire boat for duration of war. 1964: Sold by BW as part of their sale of ex carrying craft. converted fs. 2/90 & 5/93 once owned by Tony Lewery Has 3/4 length cabin, full length.

Factoids

No. 7 - Myrina The first supertanker to be built in the UK was the 190,000 dwt Myrina. Because the length of the ship (1,085 feet) could not be accommodated within the length of the largest shipyard slipway, the Myrina was constructed by sliding the after part of the vessel down the slipway, stopping it, and constructing the forward end on the vacated part of the slipway before finally launching.
