18/490, Rifleman Thomas Yardley, 16th (Pioneer) Battalion (2nd County Down Volunteers), Royal Irish Rifles. Killed in Action, 4th July 1916 during the Somme Offensive, aged 19 years. No known grave. Commemorated Thiepval Memorial. Pier and face 15a and 15b. 
Son of James and Eleanor M. Yardley, of 21 Kimona Street, Sydenham, Belfast.
