Son of the late William John and Margaret Orr.
Cadet O.T.C. Queen's University, Belfast. David enlisted on 26 September 1914 and went for training with the Royal Marines at Chatham. He left Plymouth for Egypt in February 1915 and fell in the historic landing of the British troops at the Dardanelles on 8 May 1915
